Festivals are only good for us if you can afford to have all the time off & unless you live in cavan, you have to live in digs, eat out ect,so theres no huge advantage appart from the ferry. Some organisers have even started charging more entry for anglers living here. Yeah, twas a good result,we used the smallest feeders ever made(i think) tiny 5g nisa ones about the size of a thimble, mixed up 1/3 of a bag of sensas black & put either 1,2 or 3 pinkies in the feeder! Barston;that was a few years later, either Lurgan or BSI. We kind of folded in 2004,our last match ...

Joff.I thought Tony Peel won it with a big weight under the conditions(40lb),feeding nothing, just casting a waggler to one of them paddle things??????? It was great for us at the time,as most teams coming over from Ireland to fish the semis finished way down, competing against more organised teams ...

crappity smack knows why they suddenly kick in but sometimes, with continual feeding, the peg goes from completely barren to a situation that you can not get in fast enough. Here in Ireland on canals, the fish crappity smack off to the end peg,or gaps,or even the space in between anglers, where they ...

I think it was Long Eaton bill,it was very narrow above a lock, with no cover & a purple stain through the water,i was within spitting distance of the pub used for the draw, cant remember the name of it,below the lock was some boat or tree, that was "chub city",not normally peged, but it was that day ...

Just an observation from someone outside the fold. Could the time be possibly right,to fish all traditional team fishing, or whats left of it,fished to the cips rules? Theres now a feeder world champs & its only a matter of time-with the upsurge in "carpdromes" all over europe that there will be a ...

Its been completely OTT here TK.The powers that be introduced a 4 fish limit, before they came here en-mass,where you're legally allowed to kill 4 coarse fish. This was brought in for pike anglers to catch bait. Of course it cant be policed properly & its really had an effect on some lakes & canals ...

Its the famous "hot water" stretch at Lanesborough about 10 pegs from inlet, where the hotwater comes in from the power station,to the town bridge you can see there in the pic, though at times you would get over 20 fishing there :D I dont think the ESB run the hot water all the time now. The fisheries ...
