Oxford Winter League
The 2nd round of the Oxford winter league was fished by 7 teams on a windy and wet Oakfield fishery. As is often the case on commercial fisheries the wind can, and did, have a big influence on the fishing. Both Swallow and Red Kite lakes were used but it was The windy side of Red Kite that provided all the weights.
1st Gary Thorpe - Hospital - 88lb 8oz. GOT baits backed Gary drew the same peg that he won off the day before and with the wind in his face made no mistakes with his net of carp and F1's on pellet and maggot on the pole.
2nd Dan Blackwell - Sensas A4 - 60lb 9oz. Dan drew next to the winner and had carp on the method feeder and F1's on the pole and pellet.
3rd Chris Telling - Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths - 60lb 4oz. Chris also drew on the windy side of Red Kite and had mainly carp on the method feeder and then the pole and pellet
4th Bob Parker - Sensas A4 - 56lb 7oz. Bob drew in the middle of the calm side of Red Kite and had all carp on the method feeder.
5th Martin Phipps - Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths - 42lb 11oz.
