A few ideas:

Rycroft (Hemington). The results Crafty posts for their silver fish matches through the winter are exceptional  Image

JCB lakes. Do they allow outside clubs to book their waters?  Image

Patshull pool. Apparently solid with big Roach, Hybrids and Bremes at that time. Don't know if they allow coarse fishing though because of the fluff chuckers :-/

Stowe pool :-/ :-/

yeah, the Carp lake at Hemington is good, it would have to be april as they don't allow matches on that lake May to September so the dog biscuit brigade can run riot!!
also get in quick as he is already taking bookings in 2015, I've just booked winter 2014 cos the dates are going quick.
Another cracking venue is Carwood lake at Longford fishery just off the A52 on the way to ashbourne, I would say it is about 30 mins max from Burton.

The lake has carp in it but also a massive head of tench up to a couple of pounds plus skimmers barbel etc. you could have a good days fishing on every peg just fishing for the tench.
it's also very sheltered, next to no walking, café on site and they deliver to your peg.
