Bad luck to the lads in the Supercup yesterday. Fished at Tunnel Barn, and only having one opportunity to practice, the home side proved too strong. Their team was made up of venue regulars, and this gave them the edge on the day. A couple of the lads were beaten by a pound or so by their opposition, so it was closer than the 7 - 1 result looked. Well done Tricast on your section win A BIG THANKS to Baz for organising it again this year, at a cost to himself, and a drive from Welshpool on Sunday morning at 5 am to fish the match.

Personally, I think a club like ours is flogging a dead horse in the competition. I am sure 3 home draws would have seen us in the final, as all the other teams in it seem to be "commy" teams. When you scan the results, there are very few matches nationwide on "natural venues", and our membership does not include enough anglers to commit a "commy team".
