I know that its still 6 weeks away but you lot need a bit of time to warm up and get some banter going.

There are a few questions that need answering.

Is Al going to carry on where he left off last year by drawing a flyer and battering us all again. Just like he has for the last two visits to Monk.

Will Simon draw between brother Tony and Gino and get done up like a piece of cod ... battered both sides.

Will Mick continue his bid to become leader of the Milton Keynes Massive.

Has Jean got plenty of new gas canisters for the cooker.

The answers to these and many other important questions may be answered soon. So which of you reprobates will be out of hibernation in time to come.

Also dont forget you will need to renew your licence before this match.

Always good to meet other forum members. Just remember as you pass the burger van to bring up 19 teas one coffee (Mugger always was an akward bugger) and 20 double cheese and bacon burgers. Im sure then that all the members will give you a warm welcome. Image Image Image

Put my name down please Dave. My insurers are now paying out on my stolen gear. Can anyone recommend me a half decent pole for around £150?

You wont get a decent long pole for that sort of money Graham but if your not too worried about fishing long then the Shimano Beastmaster 850B margin pole can be found for around £150 and comes with 2 topkits ( though additional kits are £55 each). It has a good reputation.

The Tricast XRS margin is supposed to be really good but at double the price and you could probably get a Shimano Technium 13 metre for the same price.

Garbolino also do the MAXIM MARGIN CARP 350 8.0m AND 9.5m for under £150

Thanks for the suggestions Dave. I've been reading some good reports on the Leeda Assassin 11m and have seen it for £144. I'm not too worried about anything longer as I prefer to fish the margins anyway.

Count me in Dave and I'll bring my fryer and hot oil so the batter is nice and crispy to wrap round Simon. ;)

Thanks for the pointers Gale - I'll take a look although I haven't heard any good reports about Avanti poles.
