Simple Match Fishing 2013 Canal Championship Match

Once again its that time of year when TK runs the Simple Match Fishing Forum Canal Championship Match. Last years match was a great success with plenty of fish for most and lots of laughs along the way. Hopefully we can have a re-run of previous years.

Format, Date... Sunday 23rd June 2013..
The Fishing.. Wyrley & Essington Canal. Draw at 9.00am. Fishing 10.00am - 3.00pm. Draw location to be decided.
Then back to Harrisons club for the results, a beer, a natter and maybe a BBQ (been worked on)

Last years Winner was Manny with 16lb 07oz with backup weights of 9lb, 6lb, 5lb and 4lb weights

Yeh there's another big event on the 16th of June too me n the Missus are tying the knot we back from honeymoon on the 21st And ile be fishing on the Sunday 1st domestic of married life on the cards methinks lol

There are alot of bream and tench as bonus fish. Loads of roach and perch. Punch did 26lb of bream one year, I did 13lb of bream on double disco over groundbait that same year.
Gem Fished corn for the whole match in the first year and got a bream and a tench and came second only beaten by a cracking net of silvers with a bonus fish.

If your feeling brave, there are some big carp down there too but are rarely caught on the pole. Last year the guy 2 pegs up from me hooked and landed a 5lber(I think it was) put it in his net and with 5 minutes of the match to go the carp decided he had had enough of being in the keepnet and prompty jumped out and swam off
