Right guys - the observant of you may have noticed that there was no reference on the opening post to 'same Bat time, same Bat channel'


That's cuss I was pondering what condition our 'normal' meet up place would be with all in the influx of water into the cut there.

So I intended today to pop up and check it out.......

However I was saved a journey following a conversation with Big Baz last night who approached me with the news that the Extension was a 'write off' with all the colour in it - you know, that horrible slatey slurry grey which knocks em on the head...... :(

But the good news was that there was plenty of (better) colour in the W&E by the Fingerpost 

So that's where we'll head to on Sat 

For 'newby' Dark Horse - carry on past where we meet for the Extension matches for about another mile. As you approach a canal bridge (with the Fingerpost pub on the other side of it) you'll notice a track on the rhs just before the bridge with  a canal house in the distance.

Take the track down to the house, swing left past it and park on the junction of the two canals

Ps - you'll probably find out (dependent on peg) that youve got upto an extra foot down the track compared to the couple of pegs you've fished on the Extension
