Long since gone Sharki - but having said that, fellow member Fin off here clocked a set in a shop in his neck of the woods ooop north a year or so ago and kindly sent me them

Also not forgetting Bill Yards who also sorted me out when I went for a dip and lost a couple of my original set.

Wont say they are like rocking horse sh*t, you may just stumble upon a dusty set lying in a corner of a tackle shop somewhere..........

I used to use the Preston spring ones, - they are very good.
The one downside with them, I found this out to my cost in a match, if it is damp or are used extensively for long periods, they can jam up, it has happened more than once with me.

Mist of our lads use Fox, than have solid brass ends and take an eternity to wear.

A lot has always been said about the slit at the business end of the punch, I never use it, more of a hindrance Image

I still have an original Embassy pen like set of punches where the various tops go inside the main barrel, I have one missing. The original ones, very rare to find nowadays, never had a slit in them at all Image Image
