There was more colour in the river but a big spring tide with some flood water meant that the river kept rising and came over the boards where I was pegged once again. Skimmers made up most of the weights with the top section 22 to 29 producing 4 of the top 6 weights. Chris Jackubowski was an exception to the norm with his 6th place made up mostly of perch on a short pole down the inside from the high twenties.

1st Paul Abbott, Deben, on end peg 22 had 21 skimmers early in the match then remained fishless watching pegs 23 and 24 catching him up as the shoal moved down the river. Fortunately for him one late skimmer was enough to clinch the win with 32lb 12oz
2nd Doug Botley on Golden peg 23 (worth £806!) weighed 30lb 6oz
3rd Mark (chunky) Pollard on the bottom end peg 144 also had skimmers and wasn't far away with 28lb 4oz
4th Mark Haverson with 24lb 4oz
5th Malcolm Runacres 23lb 0oz
6th Chris Jackubowski 22lb 4oz

Sections
22 to 29 (5th default) 17lb 12oz
44 to 52 - 18lb 4oz
61 to 69 - Nick Larkin on the pole feeder. Mostly large roach - 20lb 4oz
70 to 79 - roach on the pole - 16lb 0oz
86 to 92 - 12lb 8oz
93 to 99 - 17lb 12oz
113 to 119 - 18lb 12oz
136 to 144 - 20lb 4oz
Next week should be better with not so much water and an ebb tide.

:D Thanks for the offer but I got away with a 2oz Nick Larkin feeder with just a couple of 5grm clip ons on it halfway across. Next weeks tide 1 1/2 oz should be enough with luck.
