Me and  3 friends fish little knock ups every weekend and like to use a range of venues.
Can anyone recommend any day ticket river stretches for when the season starts again?
We are based in Ashby but would travel to burton/loughbrough/tamworth.
Many thanks.

In Tamworth you have got the River Tame at the Castle Grounds and also the River Anker that runs into the River Tame, again at the Castle Grounds.

Your best bet would be to fish the River Tame in the summer months, there is parking there also.

Although we had a grueller the other season on the upstream BAA section of the Anker, I can vouch for the castle grounds section - had some cracking pleasure sessions on it above and below the 'bomb hole' just before it joins the Tame

Sorry cant assist with any day ticket sections on the Trent - everywhere I'm familiar with are all controlled by clubs, requiring club cards - COORS, BMAC, DRAC etc.....

Many thanks for the info- it looks like we are going to walk the stretch at Tamworth and see how it looks. Is it day ticket on the bank for the Tame?

It is dayticket, I think it is the Dosthill stretch but it is dayticket on both banks, they do have matches on the venue, there is a footbridge so you can walk across this to get to the otherside of the river, also there is a car park behind (pay and display).
