Simple Match Fishing Forum

As most of you will have seen on news the Fire in the furniture factory that backs on to our canal gutted the building. Water from the canal was used to douse it and also took a lot of dirty water flowing back into the canal.Also the fact that the fish are spawning we have decide to leave well alone for a month .I will advertise the next match in about 4 weeks probably June 24th ...Many thanks

after the smoke and air cleared....not as bad as i thought well done Fire brigade walked it 3 times this week found 2 dead fish a carp about 3lb ,,,and a skimmer about 8 oz.loads of roach on top in areas its black with them.
so we are back next week if anyone is interested....

How about sat 9th June? I can drive now, but will have to fish wagglier as the chest muscles haven't mended enough for the pole yet!

Thanks to the anglers who turned out. Fishing was hard again after the influx of rain over the week bites where very shy, skimmers where the back up fish again, a few roach have started to feed, but yet again keith Woodhead found them, fishing bread punch he hooked into some bonus skimmers and a few roach. Second went to Alex Graham first time outing after having a major opp, he waggler fished for a nice catch of skimmers and roach, 3rd went to regular visitor Mal Howard who also had the same stamp of fish on squatt tactics.
