My nipper wanted me to take him fishing so geared up with some maggot as per his request as bait and headed off down the cut.

he set up his 4m whip and within 10 minutes he was into a nice roach , i have never seen him so excited when he hooked it constantly saying "this is a whopper daddy! " i couldnt stop laughing

weighed it and just shy of 9oz.

remember my sons beaming face when I first took him on the cut after he caught his first roach. hes been "hooked" ever since

dont take him carp fishing! as that will be the end of his float fishing future! great stuff though m8,take him again soon, down here its all carp,and the rivers are empty

Tipton canal, was quite clear but bites a'plenty, really good spot for roach, rudd, perch and the odd tench, quietest unspoiled part of the cut i have been to so far, only get the odd jogger go by.
