The first official practice match will be on Saturday 16th February 2008.

Teams fishing the Semi will be given preference on booking in upto 7.00pm on the Tuesday before. After this time it will be opened up to all.

The practice matches will be on pegs 1 to 176 on the Walsall and Tame valley canals. I will be leaving some pegs out due to overgrown vegetation.

The semi will be fished on the best 10 sections from the practice matches.

Pools will be £15 with a £2 peg fee taken.

No bait bans.

No Pike to be Weighed in.

All pike must be returned unharmed, they can be kept in a spare keepnet until after the match.

Anyone seen harming pike will be banned from the water.

Draw will be from 9.00am at:

Breakfasts will be available from 7.00am and will be served buffet stlye.
All you can eat for £4.

End Peg, Ive talked 6 of em to fish the dudley canal on Sat 2 get a bit of practice, stu aint comin though, wants 2 try and qulaify at larford.......just need to get the others into it now Image

On paper I reckon you've got the toughest semi but I honestly reckon you've got a team that can qualify IF they want to. Would be nice if you can overturn the likes of Barnsley and Trentmen! If you do, theres a nice, deep, flowing venue to spend a fortune at for the Final after that!

It's really easy fishing a team event on this canal.....just catch what is in front of you. You've beat the majority of teams just by doing this. Image

Agreed Sorb.

I think some teams could come unstuck trying to catch fish that just aint feeding in front of them or aint there!

some great chub tench and carp in loads of pegs....just got to find way to catch em......just ask the beer swilling "Lost City Lads", they'll throw ya in the right direction. :D :D

one of the Trentmen had two tench and lost a masive carp on the last round Sheriff!
