Congratulations Larry Teapot

Image

After numerous attempts today he achieved his aim to catch a 'Ton' in a match.
In fact he managed to comfortably exceed it with 150lbs+ at Rolfs Lake.

Well Done Larry.

Well done boys' good on yer (even if pellet and paste might be involved Image.

On a similar theme I went for a rare few hours yesterday, can't get out much midweek nowadays Image

There I was fishing the punch on the T & M at Great Haywood. Had a few roach and a skimmer on the short line.

Then I went over and except for odd little roach I could hardly get a bite which is very rare for this venue as it is seething Image
Anyway I hooked a right lump and lost it, then caught a few more small roach but bites were unusually scarce.

Then I hooked a better fish, again on the punch, that led me a real merry dance, I thought it was a proper bream. Net ready and up it came, a fooking pike which I duly netted :'( :'( :'(

Looking back I reckon it was the first pike I had got out in about 40 years so I was really chuffed Image

Oh, by the way, the crappity smack must have weighed all of 12 oz but it genuinely took the punched bread Image Image Image Image

talk about bad luck gaz smith in the evesham team match fished for roach for half the match and then fished for a bonus fish on the flatty  Image Imagehis first bite when off like a train the crowd began to thicken behind him the loudspeaker announced he'd hooked a barbel after 10 minutes it turned out to be a 6lb pike  Image Image Image Imagehooked in the mouth and landed hows that for bad luck and another was hooked and lost later Image Image

well done larry not my cup of tea but still nice to break the 100lb mark i once did it in ireland with roach and bream and on the glebe a couple of times and i can tell which i enjoyed the most  Image Image
