Drew peg 12 right hand side of the pool ,set up long pole at 10 metres a margin rig and a feeder. started off cupping in pellets at 10 metres and hand feeding the margin. put the feeder out for the first 10 min had no bites so went out on the long pole with paste had a few knocks but no fish put on catmeat and got a carp about 2lb. for the next 2 hrs had 4 skimmers 2roach and another carp. saw some movement on the margin line so fished catmeat over pellet bites were hard to get so went a foot over depth had 5 more carp to end up with 29 lb to finish 1st . another hard one not been easy anywhere this year.

My peg......
To my left
Oppisite....
John cox to my right
I started on a meat line at about 10m in front. Which was about 8-9m deep had one small carp in first half hour. All the time i was catapulting out 8m pellets for the wag/bomb line, i decided to try the wag shallow which resulted in a nice big fat carp more or less straight away which unfortunately had other ideas and entered warp speed never to be seen again
I did have 1or 2 smaller carp shallow but not fast enough so i then tried the bomb under the wag line which was a bit slower
All that was left now to do was try to and mug some margin fish these fish are rock hard to catch as the bank is on a slope and clear which allows the fish to see you
I decided to use a small bomb with a long hook length i held the rod along the bank out of the fishes sight and managed to fool 4 carp just wish i had done it an hour earlier.
Was surprised to finish 3rd Thought i would come well down the scores.
