Magic pond

A blind man, a deaf man and a man in a wheelchair [ hey could be me ] were sitting in a quiet country village pub enjoying a cold beer on a summer afternoon,
Bob the landlord felt so sorry for the three men that he decided to share a local secret with them and told them of the wonderful things that had happened thanks to the magic pond, after a few minuits the three men agreed to go to the magic pond,
On the way they were getting more and more excited and a little sceptical wondering if what the pub landlord had told them could possibly be true, however when they arrived they figured they had nothing to lose and decided to give it a go,
The deaf man went first, kneeling at the waters edge he placed his hands into the water then rubbed his wet hands over his ears - " I can HEAR, I can HEAR he shouted, shocked but overjoyed,
The blind man went second and kneeling at the waters edge he placed his hands into the water then rubbed his wet hands over his eyes - I can SEE, I can SEE he shouted equally excited as the deaf man,
Now it was the turn of the man in the wheelchair, with his heart pounding he thought to himself " I'm gonna walk, I'm gonna walk" so he went a little way back up the road and turned his wheelchair around to face the pond, he raced back down the hill faster than he'd ever gone before, across the grass, down the embankment, through the water and back out the other side with a brand new set of tyres...
