100-4-0 won the Spring League at Heronbrook yesterday.
Peg 26 Meadow.
Pellet was the best bait, 56 fished 20 had over 50 lbs.

Meadow has only just returned to top for after the freeze up.

Bridge Pool fished well too Image Image Image Image

Chin,
I only do the results from Heronbrook, it is not my type of fishing but pellet took the top six places on Sunday.

Sometimes a small pellet feeder is best on Island Pool as it is a a stretch to to the island.

On Meadow the carp can be quite big but at the moment there is some catches of all F1s, same as Bridge. However, on Bridge catches can be more mixed with carp, F1s and barbel

Missed a bit off, the Canal, the best area appears to be around pegs 9 and 10, opposite stick ups where it is a mix of small carp and F1s with the odd bigger jobbie. You can never rule out any peg really on the three pools you are on because the fish do move about this time of the year in there.

The carp on Meadow are generally 6-8 lb but there has been smaller ones put in. There is also the odd beast in double figures. Image

If it is windy the odd catch comes to a small feeder, even on the narrow bits.

I'll put the League results up as I get them if that is any good to you. I think there is one there Sunday.

Spoke to Neil (owner) last night. It's all pellet and maggot at the minute.
He says if it continues to get warmer and the water temperature increases a fair bit (doubtful) that is when meat and corn will come in.
The old farts fish a match on the Canal this week, 60 odd lbs of F1s and small carp won, peg 11, - it fished OK. Image Image

Yes me duck,

On sunday 56 fished his Spring League, (not sure if he puts every other peg in).

Every section of seven was won with 80 lb plus.
Match won on Bridgge 16 (non-descript peg on a straight) with 141 lbs of carp to 8 and barbel to 4.
One seven peg section, centred around 11 on the Canal saw six tons!

some weights of around 100 lb or a bit above won nowt!

Still lots of F1s, smaller carp and an increase in the number of barbel showing.

Appears pellet is still number one, will probably stay like that now, reserve bait still maggot.

Hope this helps with your thinking Image Image Image Image Image
