Just heard she has lost her fight against cancer.

Terrible news she was a lovely lady and I feel so so sorry for more husband Mick.

sad sad news,spoke to claire quite a few times at woodlands view,allways had a smile on her face,condolences to mick and family.

I'm shocked had no idea being away from the circuit 4 so long she was a lovely person always with a smile on her face and a great angler. Sad times r.i.p. Claire

I can still picture Clare as the captain of B.A.A. juniors on the Junior national on the Trent many years ago, when we were at the draw, we had never seen a girl angler ! She definately helped put girls on the map and to be respected by the male anglers, I also remember when She met Mick who at the time was fishing for Lymm with Neil Buist, Gareth Davis, Jimmy Brynes !!!
Anyway the Div 1 National was on the Witham and in one of the 300 peg opens leading up to the match Clare came second with 20lb odd only to be beaten by Edger Purnell by one bream for 22lb odd.
I don't think any other lady angler came as high as that in any fenland bream matches of those kind of attendencies !!
Such a sad loss.

i knew claire from being in the same fishing club years ago ,just cant believe it... RIP Claire
