Certainly not Dave - nice fishery and I've got to say it, brilliant staff there - very sociable and accomodating to visiting clubs - they get a big thumbs up from me in all my dealings with them 



Another nice touch - totally unexpected and shows how they do have the visiting clubs interests at heart - was when we visited last year and I, along with a ruck load of members missed the match for one reason or another. Although I'd booked 25 pegs, think only 15 turned up and they only charged KOD who was deputy treasurer on the day for the 15


On reflection, although we'd got low 20s out on our previous visits, similarly they only charged for the eact no of anglers, rather than the 25 booked. 


A far cry from MGB places we've visited..........


It's just that we've been there 3 years on the bounce - apart from our cut, think the only other place that I've ever booked 3 years on the trot was Chubbs (but I will stand corrected if somebody trawls through all the results and pulls me up on that one  )


Lets just say it's being 'rested' for 2012  It gets a big thums up from me

He was for a time match secretary.

We fished a club match at I think Severn Stoke. He arrived without a keep net. After some ado he agreed with another member to put share his net. John duly hooked a sizeable barbell placed it in the shared net, and I think won the contest.

Can you imagine the hiatus that would cause today.

How times have changed.

When my fingers have regained a little flexibility, I will attempt to relay the story of Billy Uptons tortoise.
