interoffice match 22nd May

This is usually for ex Marsh employees and thoise that have supported it over the years. However i have heard that the Witham office is contracting and they have moved evryone into one building. It looks like they will struggle to get more than 5 to fish.
It wouldnt be right to turn out all our best anglers in one team so I will juggle as much as I can and get as many people to fish as possible though not all for the London office.

Definately fishing

Dave,
I'll gracefully bow out of this one - too much going on with the new venture I'm afraid(courses & exams etc.). Will definately be on for the match in June match esp. as I booked it . Have fished Mill Barn Res. 3 times so far this season and on each occasion have bagged double figure carp along with quality perch (John: that one you got at Monks was a baby by comparison!) roach, rudd, tench and bream. Hints, tips and tactics to the highest bidder! Have a good match boys & girls.

i have spoken to Witham today and it seems that they will not be able to fiewld any sort of team having maybe only 2 guys interested. Plus there will be no funding so it will have to be paid out of our own pockets.

I am waiting for Norwich to ring me back to see if they still want to fish and we can connle 3 teams between us.

If they do not want to continue it as a team event then I will not give up the booking but run it like a normal Marsh outing, but invite any of the Norwich or Witham lads that still want a days fishing to come along as guests.

Any thoughts or other suggestions ?

Dave I agree if the match don't go ahead make it a normal match for us. It's a shame that Marsh Inc had gone that low and not being able to arrange two team for fishing match.
Glad we got out when we did.

Too right John. Its been 5 years now since I was forced to retire and I have hated every minute of it. Image Image Image. As virtually all of us will be fishing I will also treat it as a normal club match and work out our results without any Norwich and Witham guys as well as team results.

Finally got to speak to one of the Norwich guys this afternoon ( apparently they are very busy doing something called work !!!!!. Image Image Image )

Times are going to be a bit approximate but we are looking to draw as soon after 8.30 as we can but it may end up nearer 9.00 as some of them have a long journey to get there.

We will fish 10 til 4pm as usual but again I will be flexible and delay the start if required.

Unfortunately Peter wont be coming as he has to work and Al is still suffering the effects of gastric flu. Colin is still waiting to see if he can get hold of a Championship play off ticket for Wembley. ( No I cant work out why someone born and bred on the outskirts of London supports Blackpool either. Image Image )

I will do my best to split us up into 2 fairly even teams tomorrow.

I've got 1/2 kilo of worm in the bag from last week but no caster. I do enjoy using maggot at Colemans and, as its got me out of trouble many times, I'll have a few pints with me. Image

A BIT warm is an understatement. Image Mugger chose the right day to go to work it was HARD on Pathfield lake.

Still Chris V managed to find a few fish on Woods Lake, winning the open with around 170lb. WELL DONE Chris. Image Image
