Image Image Imagethank god it was a nice day i was really quite ready for this match after Saturday  Imageit was Izzy's party she was 5 going on 15  Image Imageshe had invited some friends from school so we booked a party at the farm  Imageit didn't help me being late from work  Imagethe tank commander had both barrels waiting at the door as i walked through  Image Image
the little dumper truck was on top form running havoc around the house

Image

still we got there only to be handed over to 10 screaming kids Image Imageand 10 buckets of fed Image4pm seamed to take forever to come round and two or three cups of coffee later it was home time Image Image tthen again it all started at home  Image Imageso it was straight down the woodies for a few quick pints  Imagetoo settle my head  :D :D :D

thank god it was a nice day

well sunday came around the house was silent and with the draw being 9am i had time for a brekie! bliss as everyone else was still in bed Image Image
that was about the only high point of the day Image i arrived at the draw only to be told parts of the canal were frozen Imageso a quick look to see if i wanted to part with even more money Imageafter the day before
NO it was only cat ice and the sun was out so the draw was made. i asked roger where would be a good draw and replied the higher the number the better ,so i drew out 5 Image Imagestill it had a bush on it and the sun on my back

Image

the bush the trouble was it had a ducks nest under it and was only 8in deep Image Image

Image
now these had been the in form pegs the willows
still i was nowhere near them :-/
as the match started again the six top kits came out and the normal comments from the lads Image Imageabout setting too much up, but thats the way i am i might not use them all but i haven't got to get off my box like some of the lads did Image
anyway after the first hour the writing was on the wall grumpy was the first to go these oadby anglers if they ain't on fish there off Image Imagebut its funny how everybody else starts to go ::)its like they don't want to be the first but after that who cares Imagegoing into the last hour and the only reason i was at my peg was the sun on my back Imagebye this time a lot of the lads were standing behind having a laugh on my account Imagewhen my float went under for the first time Imagebut like a right tw#t i'd put a piece of worm on my caster rig needless to say it came off Image Imagewell you can imagine what i was called Image Image still if they hadn't been behind me i wouldn't of lost it Image Image then the next Chuck the float dipped this time it was a small fish a perch of about 2oz when suddenly it went solid could this be a big chub Imageor a big billie and by this time i'd got 6 of the lads behind me and about 8 rambles looking on it was tense i hadn't seen the fish and it wasn't massive so i played it and when it came up it was a pike Image Image 3lb 8oz Image Imagewell everyone just laughed there socks off but it didn't fight like pike normally do and even the lads said that . i did shout up to tasker to see if they were allowed and because he'd caught a pound perch that was about 3lb when the news came down the back said in his best English" no they crappity smack don't " any way i had one more bite another perch 11oz i weighed 4lb 3oz but had to kick the pike out leaving me with 11oz only to be beaten for my section by 3oz Image Imageand at this point he had caught one fish on the whistle Image Image Image Image
as results go it was a white wash end peg rob jones 6lb 8oz all roach on punch and pinkies
2nd roger marlow 3lb11oz again all roach on punch and pinkie and then on the next peg pete marlow 2lb 11oz all roach i think only one other roach was caught in the whole match
still a white wash for LEICESTER SENSAS Image Image

Image

thanks alot tasker for running it
Image
the perch weighed a pound ::)but tasker did win his section [i think rob wootton was chatting him up to fish for oadby seeing his team mates abandon ship during the match Image]

thank god it was a nice day
