...........for the first Grueller on Sat
Will the dog roach show?
Will half a dozen bream be suffice?
Will Cotti snare his customary bream or two from the peg between the islands?
Who fancies a low number on the 'deeps'?
Will the aquarium peg walk it?
Gunna pole it or bother to set up a feeder?

No idea about any of those Q's TK as never seen the water.
Unfortunately won't be able to make it sat but here's a thought.
What will be the winning weight / What will be needed to frame ( 1-4) ?
My guess....
I dont know the water, but i'm assuming it isnt in any way a standard commercial. So ... I use my standard rule of thumb for club matches, espec on unknown waters.
Once heard Ivan Marks say at a talk that 5lb was all you often needed to win club matches and he was right then.
Forget all the excited hype we all like to indulge in, the fantasies, the hopes and dreams ( great I know but it 'aint real ), 5lb would more often than not do it, but that was in the 70's.
However, I still say it holds good, with a little updating for tackle improvements, angling standards over the years... so somewhere between 7 and 10lb should be more than enough most places unless the water often throws up exceptional fish , but usually I hold its enough to aim at. Do that and you'll be there or thereabouts, 10lb certainly and we're not into frosts yet.
Am I talking out of my *rse ?
I dont even know the venue, but going to see where i'd have finished if i'd fished a blinder and made 8 lbs, after the event. Bit of fun and to test my rule of thumb, club match theory.
You might all say 8lbs, in yer dreams, and you might be right but I reckon it would do it for someone.
PS 8lbs of what we now call 'silver' fish and i'd be chuffed anywhere.
