Had an enjoyable 3hrs yesterday afternoon in the company of venue expert Steven Griffiths on the Fingerpost section.
Plenty of steady sport with the canal as usual throwing up plenty of questions regarding feeding and baits.
Finished up with 52 silvers which included a few 2 to 3 oz rudd/skimmer hybrids - it'll be encouraging when they grown on
They went 4lb 1oz and venue expert Steve put me to the sword with a 5lb 12oz net

Although the fish were a little finicky, Vaughan had a nice double figure net of silvers on Sunday

Member Pete Herbert reported 'Some cracking sport this morning, some clonking roach and perch and 2 nice bream'

Meanwhile half way along the common today, member Steve was also having a few. He reported he had '6lb of mainly roach my mate had 12lb, he had 1 tench ,1 big perch and a small bream plus some nice silvers'

Had a few hours on the common this morning couldn't believe how bad the wind was on there was like fishing the Irish Sea left the pinkies and bread at home and went for the bream and tench luckily managed to get a few but wind made it hard work lost a couple aswell

Despite the inclement weather this week a couple of good pleasure bags have come out along the common. First this bag of tincas took the scales round to 32lb on Monday and the angler lost another 6

Then 28lb today that included double figures of silvers
