Thanks for every one involved turning up to the meeting last night, We would like to welcome the two new teams Tusses and Hankat, which gives us 8 teams again as last year:-
Shakespeare Superteam,
Fox Tipton VDE,
Sensas Dams & Lock,
Trabucco Midlands VDE,
Browning Central,
Atherstone,
Tusses,
HanKat,

They was some concern over Ken Wade not running the league this year, i have had an email off him this morning and the rumours are not true, this year will be the same format with Ken in charge.
There will be one rule change that any bank walkers during the practice or the match will not be weighed in and i would like the team who are responsible for the match to inforce this.
The pay out will be kept the same with £180 peg fees payed up front and the pools per match will be £16 per man £160 per team.
The matches will be as follows:-

4/10/2009 Practice Dams & Lock (Erdington) fosters end, Organised by Dams & Lock,

11/10/2009 Practice Coventry Canal (City Centre) Organised by Tusses,

18/10/2009 Match Dams & Lock (Erdington) fosters end, Organised by Dams & Lock,

25/10/2009 Match Coventry Canal (City Centre) Organised by Tusses,

I have heard that the first match on 4th oct the practice at Dams & Lock, Sam will not be bringing any joker in to the country that weekend so it will be very difficult to get hold of any joker for most teams. So there for it may be that the first match will need to be a squatt match after all if any of the captains are on this site please can you let me no your opinions.

Yes gone back to old format 4 semi's north & south winning team as first choice second team in league have whats left as before. Joker will be available on 11th Oct but as we dont fish it on the practice on the 4th Oct it may be a good idea not to fish it on the 18th Oct the actual match?

It is and always has been a B&J league. It was voted at the meeting to keep it that way.

If jokers not in on practice it cant be in on match full stop. Emailed Ken about venues, waste of time doesn't want us to know until we've paid. I think final will deffo be on commercial.

Dates will have to be changed or match cancelled

The date of the match can not be changed due to we have every sunday going up to and including the 20th December already. so there is no room for changing dates. There is talk about Sam getting someone else to go on his behalf Tony Barker is going to speak to him tonight on that. But if not i can not see any alternative than the first practice match on dams & lock will be a squatt match joker and bloodworm banned as ore rules state joker & bloodworm the match on the 18th will be joker & bloodworm. The Erewash league have the same problem that starts on 3rd Oct. Its going to be banned from the first round of that as well.

doesn't bother me having to fish without joker on practise match then fish it on the match itself... it'll fish better on the match! :D

I think you have to make a decision based on everyone being able to get bait rather than 'I'm all right Jack' attitudes.
