just seen lloyds idea of a summer league 100% behind him on that subject I've just worked ours out for this year .i know dates will clash with other events but each individual will have to look at the bigger picture and assess what they want. team fishing is the only way of guaranteeing big matches now-er days

Joff , do you have any more info about the sensas pairs match on the 18th october at barston? will it be worm and joker allowed and a cips rules jobbie?

not sure yet mate to be fare its the best time to fish barston and i'm not sure if you will need it
i'm just trying to keep the cost down mate plus i'm hoping to get some new faces to look at the venue so it won't be cips rules steve  
there will be plenty of cips matches run on there anyway but if the sensas final moves you might find that the venue they choose will also have practice matches on as well
just thought i'd bring something new to the calander mate it will be sponsored by SENSAS as well as  the river/canal pairs match

steve there will be 40 pairs of anglers and that means we can fish two pwgs and then miss one 20 on each bank

entry fee's will be £80 per team and must be paid bye the first round i am working on some sponsorship so we could have some extra money

Joff Any truth in the rumour you are adding carp venues to the league and allowing carp at barston?

there was talked about having 10 rounds this year after the super league and other matches finished and yes the two extra rounds would of been on a carp waters but thats gone on hold because A some didn't like the way one or two teams picked there carp teams and B I'd like the league to stay local [as in local teams ]if its successful again this year i can't see why we can't do that but first I'd like some feed back from captains.as each year so far its grown and from the sounds of it,if any local teams drop out in the future i would like to turn it into a midlands league and probably spread to more venues ie beeston canal or the fossedyke or the nene but all in the midlands

barston and carp
its simple nigel has stocked barston with thousands of F1s so it would be silly not to count them so F1s will count but NO other carp will the simple way of telling is the F1s have no barbs i we will have two nets one for silver fish and one for F1s so at a glance we will be able to see if there are any proper carp in there
last year i ran a couple of matches on the venue and had the no carp rule it was brilliant and i'd like that rule to stand but its not possable with the numbers of small F1s in there
so the easy way around it is NO proper carp or method fishing

sounds good joff tell those carp heads to sling their barbless hook .I will need a picture of a f1 tho
