Grueller Match 3

#1

Unread post by TK »

Was humming and arring about a possible change to grueller match 3 – the last cut match in the series, originally scheduled for The Extension or club canal, The Wyrley & Essington at Pelsall.

Not just humming and arring, but also been doing a bit of ringing round…………..including a call or two this morning

But now made a decision.

When I used to ‘book’ the cut and pay pegs fees when it was controlled before us by Pelsall Social, we had some decent match winning weights up there. Can remember Cotti winning a couple with double figure weights of roach.

Birdy and crew raved about it………..

In more recent seasons, Big Geoff’s also won with 8lb odd, and MrV with 6lb plus…………

So Sat 15th Nov will see a final visit to the Common Stretch.

For Simps, Budgie and Co who’ve never fished the section, follow Lime Lane/Norton Road towards the Fingerpost. Immediately before the canal bridge, turn off right down the track and follow it to the canal house. Swing left past the house and park on the towpath on the junction of the 2 canals.

If it’s too blowy, we’ll fish the bottom end of the Extension for a change – either way I’ll be able to collect more (useful) data on the venues.
