20 fished (well turned up)

1. Mr V 6.4.5 Peg 6 (Golden peg drawn for Mr V by the illustrious Bum Draw Master) :'( How do I do it

2. Zorro 4.3.11 Peg 9 (I think?)
3. Cotti 4.0.0 Peg 1
4. Bum Draw Master 3.14.15 Peg 3
5. The Wedge 3.10.8 Peg 10
6. Heinzer 1.13.2 Peg 11

Mr V caught on punch for the first 3 hours before a switch to the track and longer line saw a couple of roach and that all important tench.
Zorro reported to have caught on mag.
BDM had a bit of a mixed bag with 'hair tearing out' 300 to the lb pairs of eyes
The Wedge caught steadily all match roach on mag (or so I was told)
Heinzer caught earlier on on the punch.......

TK theres too much " I think" there. You should have gone for a little walk just to make sure

congratulations to those who finished in top 5, but i would add it was a very poor match, especially on our side of the bridge the conditions were far worse and the fish just werent there. Thankfully a boat came through and me and ha ha caught about 10 fish each in last 20mins.

Couldn't Si - I'd lost the use of my legs from the shock of a visit from a mystery celebrity star angler.

The visit seemingly upset one or two.....................don't know why

You certainly had the worst of the weather up your end Yamo. :'( Although I fed joker at 9.5 meters and couldn't get near it after 3 hours cos of the wind).
I fished 3 hours on the 3.5 mtr whip for 95% of my Roach. Fed a marble sized ball of liquidised about every 5 minutes. Punch line went really slow after 3 hrs (suspected a pike or a tench moved in)
Cos I couldn't present float right on joker line, I fed a big pot of "chop" down the track, with caster.

Fished overdepth for 20 mins for one small perch. Came 6" off bottom and hooked the Tench (there aint no logic to fishing is there)

Had a couple more perch and roach, then the 2 boats came and struggled for rest of match. :-/
I will be late for the next match so BDM can pull me another good un

the conditions were almost unfishable at times nomatter where we fiahed there were no fish. i honestly thought it was gonna be a blanking. last 20mins i had a bite and then had a fish almost every chuck for last 10mins. if only it had been like that from the start i would have pushed mr v and co. bum draw for yamo yet again, was pleased to catch at end tho.

Well after the first match i've decided the only title to go for this season is the coverted BDM award being i''m of to a flyer
First in the bag draw peg 6 oops haven't drawn golden peg use that, redraw peg 20 drawn

no peg 20 walk 15 paces past peg 19 and that will be 20

might as well carried on walking back to wolverhampton :(

- Could see Cotti having better roach so I stepped up the punch size - the little buggers were still having a go at it, but gaging on the bait. The one's that daint 'drop' off wern't lip hooked they was 'chockin' on the punch

Although a 'frustrating' match the day was not in vain..........I learnt a few things

............and later recognised a couple of other things I should have applied but daint.
