11 fished today - Dave unfortunately having to pull out at the last minute with a stomach bug.
We fished the opposite banks of the first bowl today - pegs 45 to 66; the weather was pleasant, warm and mostly sunny throughout with a light breeze.
Ideal conditions for an enjoyable day out, but the fish had other ideas and I have to say Lake 2 is a much harder prospect these days. With just the odd carp showing, everyone had to rely on skimmers and roach and the occasional proper bream to build some kind of weight while waiting and hoping for the occasional carp to show. In fact there were 3 silvers nets over 20lb today.
Yours truly was first today with 72lb, thanks to a small number of chunky carp including a couple of low doubles. Chris W was second with 59lb including a silvers net of 28lb; Kris was 3rd with 47lb again finding just a few but very chunky carp.

Result:
1. Tony R peg 51 - 72-04lb
2. Chris W peg 56 - 59-08lb
3. Kris (guest) peg 66 - 47-08lb
4. Jim peg 53 - 46-00lb
5. Paul E (guest) peg 64 - 42-00lb
6. Callum (guest) peg 65 - 29-04lb
7. Simon peg 49 - 24-08lb
8. Clive peg 62 - 23-04lb
9. Terry peg 58 - 19-00lb
10. Rod peg 47 - 15-12lb
11. Jim E (guest) peg 60 - 13-00lb

Section winners: pegs 45-55 Tony R, pegs 56-66 Chris W

It was nice to meet up with the boys again.
Fished hard, had to go long and short up in the water to keep the odd fish coming.
Well done to the section winners, hopefully catch up again before the season ends.
