Well another hot simmer's day with an occasional breeeze for relief from the heat.
Two weights way ahead of the rest of us today - 1st John with 342lb caught on top with floating expanders, and 2nd Keith with 278lb caught mostly on the deck and mostly with pellet backed up by a bit of corn. Well done fellas.
I think it's fair to say that everyone had a really enjoyable days fishing with a lot of 'proper' fish caught - plenty of low doubles and some of us boasting a 5lb fish as their smallest of the day!
15 fished today - on the road/trees bank and both sides of the spit - good work from the Chairman there. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out.
Right here goes:
1. John H peg 51, 342-12lb
2. Keith peg 75, 278-08lb
3. Clive peg 77, 161-04lb
4. Troy peg 45, 149-00lb
5. Gino peg 66, 141-08lb
6. Tony R peg 56, 140-00lb
7. Simon peg 49, 139-08lb
8= Mick peg 47, 119-08lb
8= Terry peg 73, 119-08lb
10. Gary (guest) peg 68, 115-00lb PB
11. Chris peg 67, 102-00lb
12. Jim peg 53, 85-08lb
13. Dave peg 58, 83-08lb
14. Tony W peg 64, 72-08lb
15. Rod peg 60, 25-00lb

So 11 tons out of 15!
Section winners: 45-55 John H, 56-66 Gino, 67-77 Keith.

What a great lake, proper fish and probably the right number in there as I found compared to recent weeks a lot less pinged fish and foul hookers. Shame the barbel again seem to have died off.....Note to self though, it is easier this fishing lark when you stop throwing all your kit in the lakes!! Note number 2, get my bruv to hold up his 'spare number 4' before walking round the lake! Note number 3, go the right way round said lake before finding out the 'number 4' is not quite the 'number 4' I was expecting! Note number 4, grow as it makes it much easier to wade in after said lost kit! Well done John the Jacuzzi and Keith 'on the deck guv, proper fishing' Ashby on the top weights by a mile!

Poor old Simon :rofl :rofl

Seriously though, the venue fished its nuts off. I did suffer a lot of foul hookers on the day but I think it was because of the way I was feeding it. I would try a different approach next time.

Well done John on the win - not my cup of tea but what you do you do very well. Well done also to Gino on winning the other section.
