Next up is the Res at Hartleylands. Apparently the new owners have changed the rules certainly for pleasure fishing. Terry was asked to leave last week as he didn't have an unhooking mat despite the fact that he like most of us unhook in the landing net.

ALL NETS, SLINGS AND MATS MUST BE COMPLETELY DRY UPON ARRIVAL AND BE DIPPED IN THE DISINFECTANT PROVIDED

MINIMUM OF 18” LANDING NET AND 90CM X 50CM UNHOOKING MAT ON PEAR TREE, NICKS, FINCHES, HENNIKER AND SAMSON LAKES, NO SHARING

MINIMUM OF 30” LANDING NET AND 90CM X 50CM UNHOOKING MAT ON RESERVOIR, NO SHARING

MINIMUM 42” LANDING NET AND 110CM X 70CM ON THE BRAMLEY LAKE, NO SHARING

I will be speaking with them to see what applies to us in a match.

Meanwhile who is fishing.

Dave
Mick
Tony R
Terry
John
Clive

Dave - I smell a potential problem here. Suggest you speak to them asap so we know where we stand well in advance.

Tony,
These appear to be only day ticket rules and might not apply to matches, there is also the issue of a 30" landing net which I certainly didn't have although this wasn't mentioned at the time - again it might not apply, as we will be the first match since the rule changes who knows.

RIGHT I'VE JUST SPOKEN TO THE BAILIFF AND WE'RE OK TO USE OUR NORMAL LANDING NETS, AND UNHOOK IN THE NET.
IN ADDITION THEY WILL LEAVE A COUPLE UNHOOKING MATS AROUND THE LAKE WHICH WE SHOULD USE IF ANYONE CATCHES A LARGER CARP.
I WILL PUT THE CLUB MATS OUT AS WELL SO THERE WILL BE ONE PRETTY NEAR EVERY PEG.
THE BAIlLIFF WILL BE THERE ON THE DAY SO WE CAN CLARIFY ANY DETAILS THEN.

HE ASO REMINDED ME THAT THE NET LIMIT IS NOW 60LB - SO BRING YOUR SPARE NET(S).

UNHOOKING MATS
The club has two. Would those of you who have one please bring it with you - that way we can spread a few out round the lake. Our plan is to apply Rolfs rules and weigh & return 10lb+ fish - subject to confirmation with the bailiff on the day. We will also set up both our sets of scales, that way you wont have far to walk to record all your big'uns.

To be fair Tony we would be better off clubbing together and booking a lorry load of concrete than wasting time bringing unhooking mats :tiphat :rofl
