Simple Match Fishing Forum

Round 6 saw 36 anglers line up on the Carp Lake, Clover and Donno. Light winds and milder weather made for more comfortable fishing for a change.

In first place was In form Darran Bickerton who drew form peg 9 on Donno lake and put 32lb 2oz on the scales. Darren fished groundbait and maggots at 13m for a mixed bag of Bream to 4lb, skimmers and roach.
Runner up Nigel Bull on Donno 12 weighed 26lb which comprised 5 bream for 20lb on groundbait and maggot plus 6lb of roach on the waggler.
Andy Butler on Carp Lake 16 fished groundbait and maggots for 15lb 4oz of quality skimmers at 13m. John Eccles came in 4th with 14lb 4oz of roach on the Waggler and maggot from Donno 30.
Making up the top 5 was Matt Hall off Clover 5 with 14lb 2oz of Skimmers and Bream to 3lb.

I know, I'm twelfth on 51lb.
I've had a few iffy draws but to be fair I haven't fished well or done some of the pegs justice, bad decisions, over complicating things etc.

As I said the other day, last winter I fished like Des Shipp( ), this winter like Des O connor lol

Still I'm only 13lb off 6th so things could change
