Working with Sensas along side some of the countries finest anglers is a real pleasure and a real eye opener to just how good they really are . knowledge often recalling previous weights off pegs depths and conditions the understand of feeding the swim . Sean Ashby will tell you himself he's on the form of his life yet his professional approach to every fine detail is second to none. Saturday's victory on the river fest qualifier on the river soar is a classic good angler draws a good peg game over . Well with all my knowledge of the river drawing a good peg is only half the story . It's all about catching the amount of fish you need to win the competition. After speaking to Sean and his decisions made during the match shows why he caught what he did 41lbs 8oz .
Sean has given me a run down of the day .
Sean's mix for balling in
1 bag of Sensas Gros gardon
1 bag of Sensas canal fine noire
Seconds later cupping in 4 balls rich with worms and casters. After this Sean started on feeder
The feeder mix was a simple all round bream mix .
1 bag of Sensas Lake 3000 and 1 bag of Sensas pure brown crumb .
Early on Sean caught 3 skimmers not biggest fish so he made the the first decision and Switched to pole from the on the next 2 hours it was either fish or a indication . Sean kept feeding small balls of G/B rich with worms and casters and carried on catching until the end of the competition approx 40 fish for 41lb.
