Not megga weights today, but plenty of fish caught (never seen so may small silvers before) plus the usual tales of woe off the beasties that got away...

Results to follow....

The Cashmores Crew found themselves ‘down Fishley again' :shifty :shifty :shifty for match 9 of the 2015 curse series

Conditions - bright occasional sunny spells with a fluctuation NW wind blowing at times

Following recent results, most were ‘tooled up' expecting tincas but the question was would they show Image following some heavy rain in the preceding 24 hours which had caused the colour to drop out of the canal in places :rage

With all ‘locked in' the draw took place and the normal drawbags found themselves on favoured pegs. :nana Well that applied to most of us as Big Col had carefully :whistle pegged out 48 hrs earlier. However don't think any of us realised that he suffered from quintaphobia – just ask Roberto :rofl

Personally I drew peg 14 and was chuffed :joy as it was an area I never draw – on the wides. Just goes to show – get yourself a new barrow and get a short walk everytime (10 yards last match, 3 pegs this one) :D

In a good area, and I was tooled up too :thumsup - but on arrival I scratched my head Image and asked every passing member if they'd gorra 8mtr landing net handle I could borrow..... :rofl

Image

Tricast wondered down half way thru and took a few snaps – that Japanese snipers peg again

Image

Talking of short walk pegs.................guess who was on the scales with Twink. Bloody short walk pegs... :rage

Anyway let's cut to the chase...... :naughty

The 5 hours absolutely flew by and there were many tales of woe along the towpath as we weighed in. :rofl

Twink to my right lost a tinca and it grieves me to add that I lost 3 :rage :facepalm – two in a submerged weedbed in the track to my left that I never noticed on the off, but was visible when the sun was shining when I stood up. The other just came off when it tore off to my right. :'(

The other side of Twink saw MrV incur a bit of expense – his no 5 was seen off by a tinca. :o

Talking of MrV – what pole is he using here...........?

Image

‘Down tuther end' Heinzer owned up to losing 6 Image Image Image – including a bream that wouldn't fit in his landing net and with head and tail over either bar flopped out of it........ :rofl

Nearby, OBI too had lost a fish or two if I remember right – I'll leave him to correct me or add a bit of flesh to the bones...... Image

So the winner could have been anyone of us.......... :shifty

Meanwhile the cut had also threw up loads of small silvers – for example I think i heard Yamo had 183 fish in his net – so he was a busy bunny.......

Anyway onto the tale of the scales......

Good write up TK , lots of fish caught and quite a few "biggies" lost - loads of small fish is a good sign for the future .

Well done to KOD - although I would add that i caught more fish than him ( number as opposed to weight )

tight lines

I'll leave him to correct me or add a bit of flesh to the bones

lost 4 altogether..2 "average" tincas.. just wasn't quick enough when they dived for the reeds on the inside.. worst or best bits was with about half hour left the float dipped and the No 14 bus to blocko took off down the cut (well that's what it felt like) and was not stopping for no one and then with about 10mins left in the same swim tight to the sedges I think I hooked and old lady because before I knew it my rig was being used to knit 1 pearl 1 in the sedges and nowt was gonna move it  :rage :rage

Heinzer on the next peg was not a happy man because I think he must of lost a munter every half hour I also heard that big Col had 26 fish but there was only 25 in his keepnet because No 5 was missing  :toungeout :nana :rofl :rofl :rofl
