Strong gusty winds meant feeder was the only option for many.
Day one. Winner was Phil Bardell (Milton Keynes) with 16k110 of feeder caught roach and hybrids. Phil was on the slipway on the open shoreline at Corradillar.

The catches were all fairly similar with Tony Green (Enniskillen) bagging 15k150 from Ely Lodge, Ridiger Hansen (Germany) 14k490 from Portora and Phil McCaffrey (Lisbellaw) 12k950 from Innish Porvar.

One or two lads fishing yesterday posted videos on FB last night , the conditions in the exposed sections were horrendous with strong winds and huge waves almost making fishing impossible :surprise :surprise

Remember drawing peg 14 on the point at Ely one day. Possibly the worst day for weather I have ever seen in Ireland. The wind was straight at me and I was getting close to being drowned or having my yed decapitated in the waves. What a day to draw that peg, still one of the best there, had no choice but to pack up.
The section was won on 15 with a big weight. Although it is the next peg it is down the side of you in the bay. It was as flat as a witches tit and he caught on the waggler.

Was last man standing on Trury once; everyone buggered off. The waves actually got stronger but made it easier. They were hitting the side of my concrete platform and going straight over me yed.

Also got caught in three feet of snow one year in May going on the coast road to Stranraer. Never been that way again, it was midnight and we had to get shovels to dig us way out then limp to a garage that was open and get sorted out.

I found on a Facebook site and just copied and paste. After tomorrow's mstch I'll do the same unless someone puts up before. I've just seen someone sat on Ely 24 today and never had a bite but last week that and Ely 15 fished well with Nuddy winning off 15.
