This was the penultimate round, Rob Wootton and Andy Taft have a healthy lead in the top 2 places, but any of next dozen anglers could claim a place in the top six it's that tight.
Both lakes fished well with only four anglers failing to put double figures on the scales out of thirty rods.
Top on the day following a four week break in Australia was Matt Hall on peg 9 on Clover fishing chopped worm and casters at 5 & 11m he fed a steady stream of mostly skimmers with the odd tench into the net for 24lb 2oz.
Runner-up Wayne Swinscoe on peg13 on Clover was loose feeding maggots at 4m, catching really well until a 5lb barbel turned up, things slowed right up but he still managed 21lb 12oz.
Third on Carp lake peg 23 was Russ Dowding alternating between waggler and short pole with casters he caught mainly roach for 19lb 7oz.
