Thames sponsored open match Folly, Donnington

Open match sponsored by FTB tackle shop in Oxford was fished by 48 anglers on the Thames on the Folly and Donnington sections. Talk before hand was around whether the bream would feed with a little bit of extra flow and colour from the recent rain. The bream did show on the top end of the Donnington section around the boathouses and Cherwell mouth. The rest of the venue fished quite hard with the roach not really showing.
1st Pete Jones - Marston - 52lb 1oz. Local knowledge paid off for pete who went for the bream on the open end feeder and red maggot from a peg above the Cherwell mouth.
2nd Tony Hobbs - Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths - 39lb 15oz. Tony drew the peg below the Cherwell mouth and caught bream and skimmers on 11m pole and worm over groundbait and chop worm.
3rd Simon Willsmore - Drennan - 38lb 3oz. Simon drew on the Cherwell mouth and had bream and skimmers on the pole and worm over groundbait.
4th Gary Williamson - Devizes MG - 14lb 15oz
5th Paul Armstrong - Masons - 13lb 14oz
