Simple Match Fishing Forum

The 4th round of the Oxford summer league was fished by 6 teams of 6 on the Thames at Medley and Folly. With the hot weather continuing the anglers on Medley had to deal with lots swimmers and boats but it still fished very well. Once again top weights were on Folly but there were plenty of roach caught again on Medley.

1st John Taylor - Tubertini Apollo - 18lb 15oz. John drew the end peg on Folly and made the most of the very good draw with a net of mainly perch to 2lb on the chop worm feeder and then pole fished worm over chop worm.

2nd Martin Wickens - Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths - 14lb 12oz. Martin also drew Folly on the peg that won last week. Martin had mainly perch to 1lb plus 4 skimmer bream to 12oz on the pole and worm over chop worm.

3rd Tom Hobbs - Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths - 14lb 2oz. Tom was top weight on Medley from the top end peg below Godstow lock. He had roach, perch and small chub on pole fished caster over hemp and caster feed.

4th Kevin Holmes - Sensas A4 - 13lb. Kevin was on top end peg on Folly and had roach and perch on worm.

5th Martin Phipps -Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths - 12lb 8oz
