Here we go then HOT OFF THE PRESS
Its a  WIGSTON WHiTEWASH !
Wigston demolished the penultimate round of the Soar Valley W/L with a fantastic performance.
Its now all to play for on the last round with 2 teams to qualify.
Individual result
1 P Taylor            Wigston  8kg odd  p4 proctors chub
2 A nurse             Wigston  6kg odd  Brinks ?
3 P Hamilton         Loughboro 6kg odd Brinks ?
4 W Hammond       Wigston   6 kg odd p20 Kegworth

Teams on the day
1 Wigston          17pts
2 Long Eaton      27pts
3 Trentmen         31 pts
4 Quorn             34pts    Image
5 Loughboro        43pts

League Overall
1 Trentmen       10pts
2 Quorn            12pts
2 Long Eaton      12pts
4 wigston          16pts
5 Loughboro       23pts

The river fished hard today for some. The roach seem to have done a disappearing act on most sections leaving  the weights to be filled with chub and perch.
The last round next week is now set up nicely
Long Eaton put up a fine performance from a mediocre draw but couldnt match Wigston on the day .Well done lads.

Well done Wigston, you obviously don't need any anglers from the now defunct Leicester team !! :D
Took most of the money on the day Image
Went to watch the end of the weigh in at Sutton and went back for the results. All went very smooth, all anglers happy, listened to them debating different parts of the river / sections and everybody clapping at the results. Yep very impressed Image

Joff
Don`t think it will come down to section winners we just need to beat Quorn on the day to qualify.
It just proves anything can happen on the soar given half a draw .Wouldnt mind Wigstons draw from yesterday Image,no disrespect to them it was a good performance.
As for Dean he`s always been a Long Eaton lad you only
borrowed him for a couple of seasons because you were struggling ;)

errr !!! we have been asked if we would consider coming back ,so its a option lets see what happens.the way i see it no one out there is prepared to run anything anymore the top flight anglers seam to be quite happy doing what they are doing
i want of said it was humble pie but i have missed the winter league
i will be organising again after Christmas around here canal, river or even celtic lakes  Image Image
next year the summer league will be back as a pairs competition
the entrance fee will be the price of a Quorn angling society book £25 and half the pegging fee money will go back into the funds for trophies ;) back to basics i'm afraid i will get a desent match most weekends plus evesham  Image
sometimes sitting on the fence make you see further  Image Image
