i've slept on your idea choppy :)and do you know what its not a bad idea
club fishing
1 cost a lot less
2 everyone is a lot more pleasant
3 the clubman is the best team event on the calender
4 most venues are good and who cares if you catch loads or nothing
5 they don't bicker about what pegs are crap or good
6 often put every peg in so they can have a laugh with each other
7 never long walks if so always willing to help others
8 always a good chat after the match with a pint
9 no secret baits or braking the rules or cheating
10 most of all they aways look forward to there next event
absolutely nothing wrong with club fishing

thats because there wasn't a winter league this week bill
it will start again this week i'm sure
the club match was won with 17lb two barbel
from the one man bridge the bloke had never caught a barbel before the biggest was just under 10lb 9lb 10oz
he also lost two he thinks on treble air rigged corn
just goes to show what club anglers can catch
other than that near the weir two weights of 14lb chub and perch and plenty of 2lbs to 5lb but no roach apart from the odd stamper
