And that’s another thing……….We weren’t told that Neil was running an individual league at Heronbrook on Sundays until early January. By then it was too late to book on as he was only taking bookings until the end of December !

It was in the Anglers Mail around November time and on his website Gibbo

Bill, Unfortunatly i don't read the Anglers mail, besides i thought any info re semi final venue's would of been sent to the teams who qualified for the semi's via ken wade and the Anglers Mail.

Looks like we were left out of the loop again , funny, the same thing happened last year with Joffs league, Mr Wade could of been more organised ????????

A possible point to raise for next year would be for Ken to find out if any leagues or matches are to be run on the Semi Final venues being used and then inform teams of this before the AT winter Leagues start.

that was a problem last year gibbo i think you league finished late and could of gone one way or the other it was a shame but the canal was in bad form last year with that growth on the bottom we have rested it this year but what we can't understand its not as bad this year as last yet its been colder

i'm going this atfernoon with just bread and i know it will be alright even as cold as it is today ::) ::)fishing we will never get it right

Heronbrook

The Tuesday 'Old Farts' match was won with 96 lb from Match Pool 6.

I guess that would be a feeder weight.

Wednesday, bits of ice on the Bridge Pool and another one (can't remember which one due to a chap named John Smith!). The Match Pool was completely free of ice for certain.

Today. It was bitter cold last night here -3 or -4 so I guess there will be more ice about. He has cancelled his Costcutter match today but I wouldn't read too much into that as that decision was made yeasterday.

At the moment it is touch and go. Your best bet Gibbo is to give Neil a ring (his suggestion). 07879 441282.

The forecast tonight is for not so cold, -1 or so with possibility of light rain tomorrow, (rain is the best thing for shifting ice).

That's about it.
