Right we have a slight problem as the 17th of feb is now going to have to be a open match .i will ask ted if we can use the 10 th of march for the final round
The reason for this is one of the northern semi finals will be held on the 24th of feb on the canal and for thoughs who haven't or can t fish the pair series we need a open for practice

I've just spoke with ted a couple of changes my pairs will be fished over 4 rounds now 6th jan 20th jan 3 feb and the 3 march being the last match

no problem choppy its a friendly league

had a knockup on the canal yesterday that should of been on the barrow marina but with a mix up of date s we couldn't go on the marina as the owner thought it was too close after Christmas
10 anglers braved the pouring rain to fish behind the factory wall for what shelter there was from the weather
with the canal still very heavily coloured it was always going to be hard most caught a few fish with only one blank
roger Marlow won catching a last minute tench on bloodworm over in the shallow water 2nd Pete Marlow with 1lb 15oz of small fish and a bonus perch and 3rd Bob [i hate canals walkers boaters and dog sh#t but love end pegs] green-bury with 1lb 14oz
i can't see the canal dropping this colour for the first round of the pairs so expect a hardish match unless the fish get used to the colour this weekend the lads are trying out of the town above scrapyard seams plenty of fish are still out in the country perhaps its because of the mild weather
