also reported the boats to our right specially the 68ft one to john ellis national fisheries and angling manager

Joff,
if it's any good I used to get two of them billboard thingies and put them either end of the match length.
the notices politely asked boat traffic if they could cut ther speed and keep to the middle.
They also asked if cyclists could dismount when passing anglers as there was a Championships on.
It took a time or two but these notices did sink in after a while but as you know there is always the odd William the Conquerer, unfortunately including anglers as it was in my case, willing to cause problems.

A little history lesson just in case anyone didnt pay attention in the class Wink
Before his conquest of England, he was known as William the B@st@rd (Guillaume le Bâtard) because of the illegitimacy of his birth. Smiley
when he died he was burried, but was to big for his coffin and had to be stuffed into it,
so he must have been a big B@st@rd
