[quote]I'd like to see the canals shut 2 or 3 weeks before semis but that may be a bit idealistic. I would rather there be 2 practice matches then semi with teams allowed 1 practice day, but i expect clubs need to run matches for revenue
lloydy i've got to give teams that have to travel the chance to practice its easy for the likes of us and trentmen and to be fare the only reason i would think trentmen are going on it this weekend is to pick the team.its pointless fishing it at the minute with this much colour in it
the soar is over its banks again today
lloydy still really shity colour and this weather an't going to help it mate this week it will be either flooded with snow water or it will be freezing with snow on the ground
two teams practiced yesterday one on the boats and one on the swingbridge both said they had caught best weight was off the boats and for the first time the fish were blowing there
jon we want to see what every peg will be like this week, lots of options flying around about gaps with fish in them i think with it going clear fingers crossed it might be better [can't fish any worse]
and if its got a cap on it 2 pegs miss a peg will corse some trouble with pushing the ice
but i hope we will have this chap go through with his boat
all in the town the boats are now moored between pegs outside the boat pub its not frozen and is running a lot clearer.every peg is in from 181 to 260 then 16 pegs 0n swingbridge 16 on the boats and 16 below the the lock these will be the main sections for the semi we have been on barrow canal and that is fishing well [better] so yes we will try the country again but not all of it lloydy
mine you if this snow go's any quicker the floods will be out
