Couple of reason i tie eyed as spades are.

Hard fighting Carp and spades and the way i play them =

Either spade cutting line or knot slips over spade.

Easy to tie a loop and whip it in the right place for banding.

Hard to get the line i use through an eye due to thickness.

Main reason though is i always forget to put my specs on so cant see the bl00dy eye anyway.

Breaking News.

Mr D Wall is now the proud owner of two packs of Daiwa RED HYDRO ( OK I have them and he still has to pay for them and fit them into his pole before the first match.)

Now should we tell him to make sure he ties a knot in it before cutting it or do we just say nothing and sit back and watch.
