Andy,
I was counting the years up and I would say 19 years since I saw Dave, 10 years odd since I saw Jim Meakin, 3 years Chalky.
Doesn't time fly !!!
Anyway it was back to Stripeys today Mate !!! Had one about 2 and a half plus 4 one pounders but my back is killing fishing 17.5m in a gale !!!!!

You remember Pat who used to work for me in the shop, I was on a match where he was yesterday ( a really sheltered lake, flat calm Image Image Image)

Hi matey

sound, I know they aint massive turn outs, but it's a cracking days fishing, bit of banter, I try and give people a bit of room and the longest walk is about 30 yards.

Post code is DE74 2RE.

When you get on the A50 off the M1 j24, come off where it's signposted Long Eaton/ Castle Donnington. At that island Rycroft is the first exit and just down on the left. We go for a breakfast just off that island towards Sawley and Long Eaton which is the 5th exit on that island ( the one after the road into Shardlow Cavendish Bridge)
The café is a couple of hundred yards down towards Sawley.

I get in the café between half 7 and quarter to 8.

I must ring Rob Wooton and tell him we've started Wednesdays too, he comes over sometimes.

you'll be sound pal.

The way I've been going you won't have much danger from me lol. I've been spending too much time in the matches trying to catch proper skimmers instead of getting my head down and just keep on putting fish in the net, had nearly 17lb yesterday and spent the last hour and half chasing skimmers. every time I went back down the edge or at 5m I caught but kept binning it to go for skimmers Doh!!!
