I think there's too many to choose from and like someone mentioned most peak for 2-3 years and always seem to frame.Berrows, Hargreaves,lee newsom,Dave Vincent,milsom,Liam lynott was good, ian moulton.too many to choose really. But paul turner,graham smith, polly have all performed at the top for many years.

Chris Pollard was probably even more talented than his brother .... but Mark always had the drive and dedication.

Bumped in to John Haseler on the Thames last year .... first time in nearly 20 years ..... he's still winning!

Belsen (Lee Newsome) was and is a terrific angler.

Bill, you have my utmost respect as a wise old sage, and as an even older angler, but honestly......... to leave Joffie off your list of the greats (pm sent Joffie so you can send me the cheque kiddo)

Being a North West lad based in Warrington would have to put forward Steve and Stu Conroy, Mark Addy, Vinnie Smith and Jimmy Byrne. Bit of bias involved I say in that. But will agree to Dave Berrows and Pete Hargreaves from back in the day. Also the lads who could whip out millions of gudgeon on the T+M both short and long pole, not my kind of fishing, but takes some doing.

Mel wood? Come on he couldnt adjust the footplat on browny or lloyds box. Been next to matt derry a couple of times and he looks a very good angler. Fred the bread is class i hate drawing next to him cus you spend the next week thinking about what happened.
