Something ain't right here with you Leicester lot.

Helping each other out and saying sweet and lovey dovey things about each otherImage Image Image Image Image

For us mere mortals looking on can we please have another huge fall out and riot Image

It's not asking for much really but at least give me half an hour notice when it is about to happen; this will give me time to go and fetch a crate and enjoy the slaggin, sorry, FUN Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

Tonight will do fine because there could be a postponement at Stoke Image

Scotty it was before trentmen that the lessons were learnt about bloodworm and joker if I remember rightly.when I was a lad in the juniors the main boys in the game were the Olympic Issac Walton stafford the likes of Steve woolhard Kevin hibbert perhaps the only team to win a national purely on B/J in September on the Oxford canal and with record points right back in I think 1981/2 and Pete madley was also around back then as well .way before joining trentmen so your teachers could even of been Tony keeling there's a little history for ya Image

think 1981/2

1986 it was September 13th. We had been fishing bloodworm and joker for about 20 years by then.

It was as you say Olympic Izaak Walton, then Mitchell IW then we were very heavily sponsored by Maver (cash deal); that deal was probably much more than virtually any today. As time went on I think Barnsley took over that deal.

Russ Dowding also joined us, as did Dave Berrow.

The side that won the Div One National was 100% genuine club side (no bought in anglers, no outsiders, no ringers) although we travelled all over the country (and others at times) to fish the biggest of the matches and leagues.
I used to do a pre season plan booklet (I was in printing then) for our team. We had 51 team matches lined up for a forthcoming season; virtually all of them were 100 plus entry, - the other dates were spent practising these venues for these leagues, the distance was immaterial then.
Mohmar were coming more and more into the picture at this time too; they were an exceptional team. Image

Next peg to me then! I was first peg in the next section, same one I had on round 2 :( . It ain't good where you are pal, no perch there and all them roach are in that bend to your left, I could see them topping there all day!! Scotty was saying he didn't catch them blips for an couple of hours but Beasley was into them from the off. It's just shallow winter canal fishing mate, sometimes they move others they don't. I actually had a fairly similar experience, caught 4 roach in four chucks then nothing. :( ::)

Joff, the key to keeping bloodworm in good condition is to keep the Temperature constant and in a bubbler. I have drilled two holes in the side of my bait fridge and have split the feed pipe each into 2, giving me 4 bubblers, this then gives 4x trays that each will keep 1/2 kilo of either joker or worm. its a bit of a pain to set up but well worth it..... dont skimp on cheap pumps either, the bigger the better, I've kept worm for over a month and it just gets stronger by the week......... always keep your blood worm on the top shelf and keep it at 3.C to 4.C ......hope it helps.
