when was the last time that a semi was held on a river?

Oh ..... too much risk of flooding ....... little dears!!

we fished the Wye with 9ft on on sunday ..... it was pretty poor - but it was also how I remember winter leagues from 25 years ago. You take whatever conditions throw at you, rather than crying off to a canal whenever there's a couple of inches in the river.

Mind you - I'm not really qualified to comment as I haven't fished an AT winter league in about a dozen years!

Would the Loughborough canal keep getting semi finals if Brian didn't work at angling trust?

It's all about making money for the club, it will end up battered same as every other year.

its upto every team to take care there is only one practice match plus the pairs
the match length is closed to any matches before sunday[meaning saturday's brian holmes is policing this ] match
what more can you do

Fishing a few more Joff, would have been pointless joining a commercial team that I would have got in straight away as it would have meant they wern't good enough

yeah if its on hallcroft we will be sound mate, ben lives on there and quite a few of the others fish it regular. Looking forward to the pairs though mate, just hope the weather is right as we all know how many fish are in there! Can't get hold of jay again though at the min :(
