We had 700 between us we done a good chunk of it
just sitting here wondering just what that would be worth today, and what a shame we don't have matches like that anymore on a regular basis.

Paul,
Hello Mate ! I wish we had matches like that too !! I am afraid for most of us the best years have gone and for many reasons. It's hard to find big matches now mate and Saturday's are a nightmare !!!!!!!!!

Paul,
you'll see Trevor's name, winning the first section at Breinton in the Wye Champs results posted on the HDAA website. The weight looks like 1 chub!
Quite a few lads from your neck of the woods fish that one .... 160 pegs, peggy as hell, but wouldn't miss it!!

We still have the memories
I packed up fishing not to long after that match around about 92/93 and when i came back 4 years ago found it embaressing winning a 20 pegger, it took quite some time to actually realise 20 peggers on locals were actually very good turnouts, and when i was told the Nationals were only 30 or so strong and 2 divisions I was mortified where did it all go wrong.
How yer doing Paul?
Very well thanks enjoying my fishing loving life, its all happy days for me thanks.

Happy days indeed.
Several years since Stainy section saw a decent match. Think the old Hatfield stretch was last used for div1 national in 2003 when local minnows Bawtry took team honours
Looking through names..think Phil Iveson is the only angler still fishing local circuit

Peds, I still see Harvey Clapham from time to time on the Trent and Avon. Pete Riley has not been on the Avon for 5 years now, maybe more ! He likes it at Lindholme and goes 2 to 3 times a week !!!! He just fell out of love for naturals !!!!!
