Pete, yes was Barbeling on Trent last night until midnight, we are all rounders and can do anything asked, Bicky was second on a 70 pegger on trent sunday i went to bristol avon on national fishing Barford on avon WL in a couple of weeks, would love to fish Joffs league but its just finding time and when we have a 90 peg, 15 teams of 6 canal league in stafford. its worth winning, think organisers should try to organise dates that dont clash with bigger leagues i know its difficult ive been there.

taff hope you are well kido Image
the last trail is this Sunday mate canal and river you can fish as a individual on either as your points won't count
next year it will be a team event Imagebut the way this has gone i might keep it the same everyone has had a laugh good fishing but still wanted to win the team event although no money has been involved this time
the poll shows[ although i'm a bit disappointed with only 47 taking part ]without doubt angling likes this format mixing the fishing slightly is bring more anglers back and with no long walks anglers have all said how good the fishing has been Image
anglers are there own worst enemies and always think of the worst parts before there fishing if you can make it as easy as you can the fishing well always come first
natural venues can always kick you in the teeth with the condititions and none of us can do anything about that :-/ :-/ :-/

I'd have loved to fished Joff but I can't this sunday
I've just come back from white acres too and it clashed with the others.
Never mind, maybe next year.

No long walks Image Image, it's that far up to that pub when I fished the other week there I needed oxygen Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

the interesting one is the 27% on all three venues that would keep everyone happy .the only problem i could see would be how to pay it out

i think you have missed one option out joff that is a section on the natural river ie osiers brinks there is a good 15 to 20 anglers who prefere that to sutton so should give the option of both sides of the river getting you i would guess another 10 to 15 on your match

I think the point joff's making is shorter walks and good fishing not long and patchy to say the least, 20 pegs on the brinks would look very unfair next to 20 on sutton, anglers want level playing fields and more venues that are fair for team fishing i no some like the challenge of the wild/natural river but they dont lend them selfs to team fishing.i mean 1 bloke ways 60lb of chub and the poor guy next to him 4lb of perch and a few skerits, fishing dieing we need to move with the times and offer for the majority and not the few to keep it alive, only my view, Image

hammo i know what you are thinking but its not the river it was !chub numbers are down barbel anglers have not caught as many fish this year the river levels are the lowest ever and theses are not my words these are from anglers that have fished it this summer .yes odd pegs you can have a days fishing its not fare to a match on these two sections which you perhaps not get the 20 pegs on anyway plus its the walks and if any one said they have been down the brinks they couldn't of as the gate has been locked from the middle of July !! we trying to sort it out the problem as wee rent the field but i can assure you its still locked today as ive been down
sutton has been a fare venue everyone has caught fish No dry nets anglers can decide what to target whether its perch tench or roach and if its coloured bream and skimmers and anyone can win we have had some surprise pegs winning the matches
its not about the twenty anglers down sutton theses matches have been 40 to 46 peg matches  ;) ;) ;)

i dont see both your points only anglers that want to fish the natural will be fishing it .if you dont want a walk or fish the stick and wag you enter your name for sutton or the canal were is the problem iam confused Image Image Image
